Airo exists as a place to capture and share leadership frameworks that have proven useful under real fundraising pressure.
Over time, we found that many of the challenges leaders face in development are not solved by working harder or adding tactics, but by slowing down long enough to create clarity, structure, and shared expectations.
That belief was shaped by more than twenty years of work leading fundraising teams, stewarding complex partnerships, and navigating multi million dollar initiatives in nonprofit organizations.
Airo is not a consulting practice.
It is a place for finished ideas and tools designed to stand on their own.

Shawn has spent his entire career in nonprofit development, often working in demanding environments where pressure was high and decisions mattered.
In addition to nonprofit leadership, he has built and operated businesses, shaping a practical approach to stewardship, systems, and execution across both ministry and organizational contexts. Today, he oversees fundraising and revenue growth for an organization that empowers local leaders in underserved communities across the Caribbean.
He and his wife, Kelly, have three children and live in Austin, Texas.
